Charity Dog Photo day – Friday 1st November

I’m running a special Dog Photo Day on Friday 1st November at Hafan Yr Afon, Newtown, Powys.
100% of the proceeds will go to Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA), Wales. Reg. charity number 506056.
A donation of just £10 is all that is required and you and your best furry friend will get a fun photo session, plenty of treats and a high resolution digital image to keep.
If none of these slots suit then please do drop me a message as I may be able to accommodate you at a different time.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's included for the £10 donation?
We really apprecaite you supporting this brilliant charity and 100% of your £10 will go to SARDA (Wales). In return you’ll get one high resolution image of your choice from a small gallery that you will be sent following the session.
What is SARDA?
SARDA stands for Search and Rescue Dog Association. They are a specialist search dog component of Mountain Rescue (England and Wales). Have a read about them here.
How dog-friendly is the venue?
Hafan Yr Afon is super dog- friendly. They welcome dogs (and well behaved humans!) with their doggy treats and even doggy ice-cream! (my boy Gelly gives them a huge thuimbs up!). The cafe is a great venue and the food and drinks for both humans and pets is delicious!
If they aren’t well enough to travel we can arrange a session closer to home. As always, I will be completely respectful of your dog’s needs.
Can I be in the photos with my dog?
At Ginger Hound Phgotos we believe that photos with your pet are so important, and though we do not have the space at Hafan Yr Afon for you to join in, imagine the magical moments we can capture together in a dedicated full session where the bond between you and your furry friend takes centre stage, creating stunning memories that you can cherish forever.
I have more than one dog, can you photograph them together?
Unfortunately we don’t have space on the day for multiple dogs in the same session, but please book seperate slots.
My dog can't be let off the lead, can I still attend?
Yes! Most dogs will be photographed with their leads on and I will edit them out of your final photographs. I do ask that harnesses are removed though to give a tidier image.
I don't think my dog will look at the camera. What can you do?
Don’t worry I’ve got plenty of tricks to get your furry friend to look at the camera!
Can I choose my background colour?
As these are short sessions there won’t be an option to swap out backgrounds but I’m planning a lovely backdrop especially for this day!
